This Thursday, October 23, is the deadline for those of you who wish to make a submission for the next issue of In Essence.

Firstly thanks to those of you who have already made a submission for the summer 2008/09 edition of DRTM’s biannual trade and media magazine. If you haven’t, and your business has a new feature, service or award you are keen to promote free of charge via In Essence, there’s still time get a submission in before this week’s deadline.

If you have new product, key industry news or are introducing a new aspect to your existing product that you believe merits a complimentary feature in In Essence, please submit a news release of no more than 200 words plus all contact details and quality high resolution images to by October 23.

Stories need to be news style, punchy, relevant and to the point. Due to page and space limitations, submissions will be judged on their likely value to the target audience and inclusion will be at the discretion of the editor. Preference will be given operators supporting other DRTM activity.

Submissions will only be considered if accompanied by at least one good quality, high resolution images of at least 300dpi.


Please follow these key points to boost your chances of inclusion:

  • What is your NEW product/service?
  • When was/will it be introduced?
  • How does it differ/improve on previous product/service offered?
  • What makes this new product so good and why should it make a difference to the trade we’re talking to?
  • Highlight key points of difference over your competitors – both within Rotorua and beyond.
  • NO MORE THAN 200 words
  • At least one high resolution (300dpi) TIFF or jpeg image. Images over 5MB need to be supplied on disk please.
  • Include contact person for publication, phone, fax, email, and web address.

Submissions not suitable for a full article will be considered for publication in the News in Brief section at the back of the magazine.

Published twice a year, In Essence showcases new and redeveloped commissionable Rotorua product to trade and media. We produce 1500 hard copies (plus electronic copies which are downloadable off of In Essence for distribution to Inbound Tour Operators, offshore wholesalers, airlines, TNZ, TIANZ, media, TNZ’s international media programme famils, agent famil packs, PCOs, incentive houses and the TRENZ database.
