The temperature has begun to  drop, snow dustings have appeared on the surrounding hills, the summer crowds  dispersed and tourists head for the geothermal spa waters to warm their weary  limbs and Rotorua’s clear crisp winter days provide the perfect backdrop for  exploring our unique region. TRENZ is fast approaching,  this year in Auckland  after a 2 year stint in Rotorua and I am sure we will touch base with many of  you there next week. For those we won’t be seeing there are a number of  exciting things happening on the Rotorua scene. New travel trade websiteAfter months of development  our new travel trade website came online in early May. This provides all those  selling or marketing Rotorua the resources required to sell the region  confidently. Please visit it at rotoruanz.com/trade

The site contains trade ready product  listings, itinerary planning and mapping tools and itinerary suggestions for a  number of client types. Part of this activity includes organising  famils to her member’s products.
 Destination Rotorua Marketing is  the Regional Tourism Organisation for Rotorua and as such is responsible for  marketing Rotorua generically and keeping the travel industry updated on  product developments and regional updates.
 Rotorua airport runwayThe airport runway extensions continue and are  due for completion in the next 2 months. Although no airline has committed to a  trans-Tasman route yet, with the runway completion nearing we will keep you up  to date on significant developments regarding this.
