Call for IN ESSENCE submissions

The autumn edition of In Essence is about to head into production and this is your opportunity to be considered for inclusion. As a reminder, In Essence is a trade and media publication featuring new product and new additions to existing product. DRTM produces 1200 In Essence copies for distribution through inbound tour operators, offshore wholesalers, airlines, Tourism New Zealand, Tourism Industry Association, international and domestic media, professional conference organisers, incentive houses and the TRENZ database.

If you have new product, key industry news or are introducing new aspects to your existing product and would like to feature in In Essence, please prepare a news item of up to 200 words. Stories should be punchy, relevant and to the point.

Good quality photographs are a must with any submission. A high-resolution scanned image or print is fine, as long as it is 300dpi or more.Please bear in mind there may not be room for every item, so each story will be judged on its value to the tourism industry. Inclusion is at the discretion of the editor. Preference is given to operators supporting other DRTM activity.

Please follow the checklist below when compiling your stories. All articles must be emailed to Heather Carston, by 5pm, Friday, April 9.

Checklist - Have you answered these questions/issues in your story?

  • Company name
  • What is your NEW product/service?
  • When was/will it be introduced?
  • How does it differ/improve upon previous product/service offered?
  • So what? What makes this new product so good and why should it make a difference to the trade we’re talking to?
  • Highlight key points of difference over your competitors – both within Rotorua and beyond.
  • Photograph/s
  • Contact information: contact person, phone number, mobile number, fax number, email and website
