Welcome to the 1st Win Your Way to Rotorua competition newsletter.

The Win Your Way to Rotorua Competition which has been in planning since the end of last year launched in Sydney two weeks ago and this week promotion of the competition in Sydney takes another step up.

The desired outcome of the competition is to increase awareness and bring attention to the Air New Zealand direct flights and showcase Rotorua and it’s offerings to potential holiday makers. The competition revolves around bringing 100 Australian winners to Rotorua on the weekend of 8th – 11th May on the direct flights. These winners are split into three categories aimed at showcasing the diversity and unique experiences available in our remarkable city and surrounding area.

You will also see the video footage which was shot to showcase the region during the competition.

The Competition commenced on Saturday the 6th of March at the Travel Xpo at Sydney Olympic Park in Sydney. 

Here is a photo of Craig from the DRTM promoting the competition and travel deals to Rotorua. In total 534 entry forms were completed during the show.

Our major partner in this competition is 2Day FM, Sydney’s most popular radio station with approximately 500,000 listeners every day. Over the past two weeks advertisements have been running everyday driving people to the competition home page. So far this has resulted in over 1500 entries.

This week the major campaign push begins with comprehensive banner advertising on major Sydney websites driving traffic to the campaign homepage and live on air interaction with the 2DayFM DJ’s.

Rotorua’s major air time will be during the day on the shows hosted by Dan Cassin and Ellie Mobbs. Ellie and Dan will also accompany all the winners on their prize winning trip to Rotorua.

Dan Cassin was in Rotorua last week and took part in some of the great Rotorua experiences so will be talking with great confidence on air this week.
