For immediate release New Zealand-first dining experience launches in RotoruaDine in the Sky, an exciting night dining experience at Skyline Rotorua, launches this Valentine’s Day.
Each gondola will seat four diners. Only 10 are to be made available, making this an exclusive and sought-after experience for the dining public. “We have really put our thinking caps on and firmly believe this kind of innovation will excite a wide range of potential diners from around the world,” Skyline Rotorua general manager Neville Nicholson says. “A lot of work and research has gone into this idea and we believe it provides wide-ranging opportunities for couples, small groups and function clients to try something different and exciting. “Everything from the design of the tables inside the cabins to menu and wine matching has been planned in detail to make this a special experience. We have had enormous interest from the Japanese market already, for honeymooners who are travelling to Rotorua, but we believe this will also appeal to anyone wanting a unique experience. We expect to see a lot of Rotorua couples enjoying this new experience on Valentine’s Day.” Bookings will be essential for the experience, which will take 1.5 - 2 hours and will cost $95 per person. It will give guests the chance to dine inside the gondolas as they move up and down the side of Mt Ngongotaha. Custom-designed tables will be fitted into gondola cabins, allowing people to enjoy a new four-course menu designed by executive chef Fred Kreutmayer to complement spectacular twilight views across Lake Rotorua and the surrounding region.
